Newport News, Va. – Fordham’s Emily Tapio and George Washington’s Jonquel Jones have been named Atlantic 10 Conference Women’s Basketball Co-Players of the week, while Charise Wilson of Rhode Island was tabbed as the Rookie of the Week for games played Feb. 2-8.

It was her first double-double of the season and the fifth of her career. Tapio then put the Rams on her back in the second half in their come-from-behind victory at Saint Joseph's. She scored 14 of her game-high 16 points after halftime and hit the game-winning layup with eight seconds left to give the Rams their first lead of the game, 48-47. She then rejected Hawks' all-conference performer Natasha Cloud's potential game-winning shot with less than three seconds remaining to secure the victory.

Jones averaged a double-double of 15.0 points and 15.5 rebounds and added 3.5 assists per game to lead GW to victories over A-10 rivals Davidson and Dayton. The Naismith Trophy candidate had 12 points, 13 rebounds and four assists in the Colonials' win over Davidson, then posted her 14th double-double of the season, including ninth in A-10 play, with 18 points and a career-high tying 18 rebounds in GW's 67-56 victory over Dayton. Jones was 2-for-4 from three-point range against the Flyers with both threes coming during a 17-2 run in the first half, and she added three helpers.
