Richmond, Beasley Lead Field After Women's Golf Championship Round 1

ORLANDO, Fla. – Richmond fought through blustery conditions Monday to take an 11-stroke lead in the opening round of the 2026 Atlantic 10 Women’s Golf Championship at Evermore Resort’s Cypress Course.

The Spiders shot a 307, 19 over par and were paced by Maya Beasley, who leads all golfers with a one-over 73. Dayton’s Etta Huffman is two strokes back with a 75, leading the  Flyers into second place with a 318. Loyola Chicago is in third with a 322, paced by Grace also in third with a 76.

Richmond had all five golfers in the top 10, with Olivia Wilkie in fourth with a 77, Hannah Lydic, the 2025 A-10 medalist, in fifth with a 78 and Addie Doroh tied for sixth, finishing the round with a 79. Kate Magner tied for 10th with an 81.

Duquesne is in fourth after day one with a 332, led by Sasha Petrochko’s 79, good for a tie for sixth with Doroh. Saint Joseph’s placed fifth and La Salle wrapped up the team results in sixth. Sienna Smith finished 20th to lead the Hawks, while La Salle’s Nina Okenkova was the Explorers’ top finisher.

Loyola’s Teagan Connors and Dayton’s Emma Sparling each carded an 80 to tie for eighth and Christina Pfefferkorn tied Magner for 10th with an 81 to round out the top 10 finishers.

Round two begins Tuesday at 7:30 am and the 36-hole tournament concludes Wednesday with the winer receiving an automatic bid to NCAA Regionals.
