WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 Conference has recognized Richmond senior Aiden O’Neil as the Under Armour Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week. St. Bonaventure sophomore Isaac Farmer was named Defensive Player of the Week. Saint Joseph’s freshman Will Barber was named Rookie of the Week. The awards were announced on Monday and are for games played Feb 9-15.
O’Neil led Richmond to its highest-ever goal total against in-state rival No. 13 Virginia. An attacker from Centerville, Mass., O’Neil recorded five goals on nine shots, along with one assist and a caused turnover in Richmond’s 18–12 victory over the Cavaliers.
Farmer posted 15 saves plus three ground balls in a Saturday win at Binghamton. The goalkeeper from Fort Myers, Fla., faced 53 shots and recorded a .625 save percentage. Farmer tallied 15 or more saves for the third time in his career.
Barber registered his first three goals with a hat trick against No. 14 Villanova, helping the Hawks take down the Wildcats. The attacker from Macungie, Pa., scored the game-winning goal and also added an assist in the win.
