A-10 Swimming and Diving Championships Begins Wednesday at 12:30 P.M.

HAMPTON, VA - The Atlantic 10 Conference Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships begin Wednesday at the Hampton Virginia Aquaplex. The four-day championship will include seven men’s and 10 women’s teams vying for a crown.  

The George Washington Revolutionaries are looking to defend their five straight A-10 Men’s Swimming and Diving championships. GW won last year’s crown with a score of 883.5 points. The Revolutionaries return Ben Sosnowski, who broke the A-10 200-yard breaststroke record. GW also set the new conference record for the 400-freestyle relay. Ganesh Sivaramakrishnan, AJ Wood and Daniel Nagy return from that record-breaking relay team.  

Also competing for the A-10 Men’s Swimming and Diving trophy are Davidson, Fordham, George Mason, La Salle, St. Bonaventure and Saint Louis.  

St. Bonaventure was the runner-up at last year’s championship, placing second with 517.5 points. George Mason earned a third-place finish, who set the conference record in the 800-yard freestyle relay.  

GW is looking to defend its fourth straight A-10 Women’s Swimming and Diving championship victory. The Revolutionaries clinched last year’s title with a score of 598.5 points. Returning from the defending champs is Ava Topolewski, who won gold in the 1,650-yard freestyle and holds the A-10 record in the event.  

Davidson, Duquesne, Fordham, George Mason, La Salle, Rhode Island, Richmond, St. Bonaventure and Saint Louis are vying for the A-10 Women’s Swimming and Diving championship.  

The Richmond Spiders were last year’s runner up with a total of 571 points. Duquesne placed third with 525 points. Ashley Freel, the 2025 Most Outstanding Rookie, returns for Duquesne. Last year, Freel won gold in the 100-yard butterfly and silver in the 200-yard butterfly and 400-yard medley relay.  

The A-10 Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving championship will begin Wednesday, February 18 at 12:30 p.m. ET with the men’s one-meter diving preliminaries. The championships will conclude on Saturday, February 21 at 6 p.m. ET. 

This is the third conseuctive year the A-10 has hosted its swimming and diving championships at the Hampton Viriginia Aquaplex. All four days will be broadcast on ESPN+. For more information, check the A-10's Swimming and Diving Championship Central.
