WASHINGTON – For the fourth season in a row, the Richmond Spiders have been chosen as the A-10 Women’s Lacrosse Preseason Favorites by the league’s coaches, unveiled in the Preseason Poll on Friday. Additionally, 12 student-athletes were selected to the Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Conference Team.
Racking up 97 points and eight first-place votes, Richmond took the top spot in the preseason poll after another strong 2025 campaign. As the No. 4 seed in the A-10 Women’s Lacrosse Championship, Richmond took down No. 5 seed St. Bonaventure 11-8 in the quarterfinals before falling to the top-seed and eventual champion Massachusetts.
Richmond landed three student-athletes on the Preseason All-Conference Team: attacker Alexis Morton, midfielder Bridget Lonsinger, and defender Reagan Quinn. Morton started all 19 games for the Spiders last year, ranking second on the team with 76 total points, scoring 39 goals and dishing 37 assists. Lonsinger looks to build off a strong freshman campaign, earning A-10 All-Rookie Team honors after totaling 21 points on 14 goals and seven assists. Quinn played a crucial role for the Spiders as a freshman as well, collecting four groundballs, causing nine turnovers, and recording one draw control.
