Offense Powers George Mason into A-10 Championship Final

TYSONS, VA — No. 2 George Mason defeated Saint Louis 16–2 on Friday in the consolation bracket final of the 2025 Atlantic 10 Baseball Championship at Capital One Park.

The Patriots will face top-seeded Rhode Island in the A-10 title game. Coming out of the consolation bracket, George Mason will need to win twice to claim the crown and NCAA Regionals bid that goes with it. First pitch for the championship final will be at noon on ESPN+..

The Patriots took control early of Friday night's game, scoring nine runs in the first inning. They added three more in the second, followed by two runs in both the fourth and fifth innings. Saint Louis scored its only two runs in the sixth.

Logan Rumberg (4-3) earned the win for George Mason, pitching five innings. He allowed six hits and two runs while striking out seven and walking none. Saint Louis starter Stephen Hernandez (3-3) surrendered three hits and four runs in taking the loss.

Four Patriots had three-hit days, including James Quinn-Irons wih was 3-for-3. Owen Clyne had a game-high 4 RBI. Chase Beattie was 3-for-4 to pace the Billikens.
