Baltimore, Md. -- Massachusetts women's lacrosse (15-4, 10-0 A-10) recorded double-digit goals but fell 19-10 to Princeton (15-3, 6-1 Ivy) on Friday evening at Homewood Field.
Massachusetts claimed an early 3-1 lead but succumbed to a 5-0 Princeton scoring run to end the first quarter of play. The Minutewomen cut the Tiger advantage down to three goals on a score from Ava Connaughton with 8:18 remaining in the third quarter but could not capitalize to complete the comeback bid.
Goalkeeper Catrina Tobin was a standout performer in net for Massachusetts recording a career-high 19 saves.
Delaney Rodriguez-Shaw capped the season with three goals, recording her fifth consecutive hat trick and eleventh overall. Ava Connaughton tallied a team-high four points on two goals and two assists.
Lil Hancock added three points, totaling two assists to go along with a goal. Kassidy Morris, Lauren Tolve, Norah Prizzi and Dylan Lyons each added a goal on the evening to complete the Massachusetts offensive total.
Jordan Dean finished her storied career in the circle with eight draw controls, finishing her Massachusetts career with a historic program-record 642.
The Tigers were led by McKenzie Blake who totaled seven points on five goals and two assists.
