WASHINGTON – Massachusetts junior Kassidy Morris, Saint Joseph’s senior Bella Miceli and Richmond senior Grace Muldoon all earned distinction as the Atlantic 10 major women’s lacrosse award winners. Davidson sophomore Kayla Joyce, Rhode Island freshman Caralie Basuel and UMass head coach Jana Drummond also earn superlative awards as the Atlantic 10 announced the end of season awards Thursday.
The Atlantic 10 released the five superlative awards along with the 24 All-Conference honorees, as well as the All-Rookie and All-Academic teams. The major honors, All-Conference teams and All-Rookie team were voted on by the A-10 women’s lacrosse head coaches while the All-Academic team was selected by the women’s lacrosse communications directors.
Morris, an attacker from Washago, Ontario, lead the Atlantic 10 in goals with 70 and points with 21, ranking fifth nationally in total goals and goals per game. Her points total ranked 12
th nationally and she was ninth in points per game in the NCAA. She had three game-winners this season, nine free position goals and collected 16 ground balls. A three-time Atlantic 10 Under Armour Offensive Player of the Week, she was also named to the All-Conference First Team and the All-Academic Team.
Miceli, a defender from Redding, Conn., led the Hawks in ground balls (36), caused turnovers (29) and draw controls (93), ranking in the top 10 in the league in all three categories, and top five in draw controls and caused turnovers. She also led a SJU defensive effort that ranked third in clearing percentage and draw controls in the league. A three-time A-10 Under Armour Defensive Player of the Week, she also was named All-Conference First Team.
A midfielder from Bethesda, Md., Muldoon tied for second in goals (35) and was third in points (85) among all Richmond players. Her 45 draw controls also ranked second on the team. A dual-threat, she also had 16 caused turnovers and 19 ground balls. Muldoon was named to the All-Conference First Team.
Joyce, a goalkeeper from Philadelphia, ranked fourth nationally and led the A-10 with a .511 save percentage. Her goals against average of 8.66 ranked fifth nationally and was the only A-10 goalie that allowed fewer than 10 goals per game. Her 8.88 saves per game were good for third in the conference. An Atlantic 10 Under Armour Defensive Player of the Week selection, she also was named First Team All-Conference.
Basuel, an attacker from Fairfax, Va., helped lead the first-year Rhode Island program to a .500 record (8-8) and four conference victories. She ranked second at Rhody with 48 goals and 56 points. Her 1.19 free position goals per game led the A-10 and ranked seventh in the NCAA, and she was third in the conference with a .533 shot percentage. She headlines the All-Rookie team as well.
Drummond, in her eighth year at Massachusetts and fourth year as head coach, guided the Minutewomen to their 14th consecutive Atlantic 10 regular-season title behind a perfect 10-0 record in league play. UMass concluded the year boasting a 11-match win streak, and enters the A-10 Championship ranked No. 25 in both the IWLCA coaches poll and in Inside Lacrosse poll. The Minutewomen are second nationally in assists per game, third in points per game, first in shots per game and eighth in winning percentage.
Joining Morris, Miceli, Muldoon and Joyce on the All-Conference First Team are attackers Jenna Skibbe (Davidson) and Colleen Quinn (Richmond); Allie Hartnett (Davidson) and Brooke Piper (St. Bonaventure) in the midfield and defenders Riley Moore (Davidson), Hanna Pawela (Duquesne), Caroline Murphy (Richmond) and Brit Colangelo (St. Bonaventure).
The All-Conference Second Team features attackers Alexa Capozzoli and Maddie Yoder, both from SJU and Davidson’s Josie Lambert; midfielders Mackenzie Leszczynski (DUQ), Lauren Tolve (UMass), Megan Schillinger (SBU) and Emma Yoder (SJU) as well as defenders Stella Ray (George Washington), Jordan Dean (UMass), Hannah Custer (RICH) and Casey Murray (VCU). The second team goalkeeper was Jordan Concordia from Saint Joseph’s.
The All-Rookie team stars Basuel, and Emma Yoder, along with Kenson Epperly (VCU), Claire Fowler (SJU), Sidney Van Tassel (SBU), Bridget Lonsinger and Keating Hopkins (RICH), Brinley Myers, Calli Dunn and MJ Timpanaro (URI), Sophia Levine (GW) and Lydia Canavan (DAV).
The All-Academic team includes Leszczynski, Pawela, Morris, Piper, Concordia, and Murray as well as Reagan Terrell (DAV), Katie Fullowan (GW), Tessa Shields (UMass), Casey Phelps (URI), Fiona McGovern (SBU), and Sarah Groark (SJU).
The 2025 Atlantic 10 Women’s Lacrosse Championship begins Thursday with first round contests at noon. The semifinals are Friday at noon and the championship match is Sunday at noon. All five contests of the A-10 Women’s Lacrosse Championship will be streamed live via ESPN+.
