ORLANDO – Richmond won the inaugural Atlantic 10 Women’s Golf Championship, improving by 17 strokes over the three-day tournament to finish with a 921 (317-304-300). Spiders Hannah Lydic earned medalist honors with a 224 (81-71-72).

Dayton finished second with a 929 (313-310-306) and Loyola Chicago placed third with a 942 (304-312-326), followed by Duquesne’s 984 (326-321-337). La Salle and Saint Joseph’s wrapped of the team finishes respectively. Richmond earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals.

Maya Beasley and Caroline Thompson joined the Richmond finishers in the top 10 with Beasley shooting a 230 (79-76-75) to tie for fourth and Thompson carding a 237 (82-80-75) to tie for eighth. Beasley and Lydic were each named All-Conference. Olivia Wilkie and Katie Magner were the Spiders final two finishers, placing 11^th and 12^th respectively with a 239 and 241.

Loyola Chicago’s Cate Reisinger, who was named A-10 Women’s Golfer of the Year, placed second with a 226 (72-76-78). Jenna Harter from Dayton was third with a 229 (75-77-77), and her teammate Megan Yoder tied Beasley with a 230 (79-76-75). In all, the Flyers had four top-10 finishers, with Emma Sparling shooting a 233 (77-77-79), good for sixth and Kylee Heidemann placing eighth with a 237 (82-80-75). Harter, Yoder and Reisinger all earned All-Conference.

Grace Hui, Loyola Chicago’s second finisher with a seventh-place performance, was voted Rookie of the Year and also was the championship’s Most Outstanding Rookie. She finished with a 234 (77-75-82). Sasha Petrochko from Duquesne, tailed a 237 (80-75-82), tying Thompson for eighth. Both Hui and Petrochko were named All-Conference as was La Salle’s Paige Cerminaro.

Loyola Chicago head coach Brandy Johnston was named the Inaugural A-10 Coach of the year and the Ramblers’ pair Cassie Psuik and Madison Haugen rounded out the 10-player All-Conference team.
