WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 Conference recognized Massachusetts redshirt junior Kassidy Morris as its Under Armour Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while Duquesne senior Hanna Pawela received Defensive Player of the Week. Rhode Island redshirt freshman Calli Dunn was named Rookie of the Week. The awards, which were announced on Monday, are for games played March 3 to March 9.

Redshirt junior Kassidy Morris led the charge for the Minutewomen in an 18-12 victory over VCU. She totaled a career-high 10 points on seven goals and three assists. Morris tied her single game career-highs in both goals and assists in the A-10 opening win. The Washago, Ontario native scored in every quarter of the game, which included two to help secure the win in the final 15 minutes of action.

Pawela, a Glen Allen, Va. native, led the Duquesne defense in its A-10 opening win over George Washington. She recorded a season-high six caused turnovers and scooped four ground balls along with one draw control. Pawela’s performance on Saturday moved her to second all-time for Duquesne’s career caused turnovers. She has 130 caused turnovers over her career, the most of any active NCAA Division I women’s lacrosse player.

Dunn, a midfielder, led Rhode Island with five goals in its road win over Stonehill. The Barnegat, N.J. native’s five goals were a season-high for Dunn. It marked the third game this season in which she collected three goals.
