WASHINGTON –- The A-10 Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships begin Wednesday, February 19 and conclude on Saturday, February 22, with George Washington looking to claim its fifth consecutive Men’s Championship and fourth consecutive Women’s Championship, at the Hampton Virginia Aquaplex.
On the men’s side, the Revolutionaries are searching for their fifth consecutive championship and eighth in the past nine years. George Washington secured the 2024 title after the Revolutionaries won with a score of 844. GW returns the Co-Most Outstanding Men’s Performer of the Year with Connor Rodgers and Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team returnee Ganesh Sivaramakrishnan.
Also contending for the championship is the 2024 runner-up Massachusetts, led by diver Andrew Bell, as well as St. Bonaventure, George Mason, Davidson, Fordham, La Salle and Saint Louis.
GW women’s swimming and diving is striving for its fourth consecutive title and fourth overall in the past five years. The Revolutionaries return the 2024 Most Outstanding Diving Performer Olivia Paquette and 2024 Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team members Moriah Freitas and Ava Topolewski.
Also competing for the title is last year’s runner-up Richmond and Fordham, Duquesne, George Mason, Davidson, Massachusetts, St. Bonaventure, La Salle, Rhode Island and Saint Louis.
The Championships start Wednesday with the women’s 1-meter diving preliminary round at 12:30 p.m. followed by the finals for the 200-yard medley relay, women’s 1-meter diving and the 800-yard freestyle relay at 3 p.m. They’ll continue on Thursday and Friday with the prelims at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m. each day. The Championships conclude on Saturday with the prelims at 10 a.m. and the finals at 6 p.m.
