WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 Conference named Massachusetts junior Andrew Bell as its Under Armour Men’s Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week. Richmond sophomore Melissa Nwakalor earned Under Armour Women’s Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week. The awards, which were announced on Tuesday, are for competitions from Feb. 5 to Feb. 10.
 
Bell competed at the Northeastern Diving Invitational and won the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events. Bell, a South Windsor, Conn. native, totaled 391.60 in the 1-meter and scored a 392.65 in the 3-meter. Those scores both rank second in the A-10.
 
Nwakalor, a Columbia, Md. native, set a new Richmond program and conference record at the Cavalier Invite. She won the 50-free preliminaries time with a 21.98, which broke her previous record of 22.28 earlier this season.
