WASHINGTON — The Atlantic 10 Conference has announced its weekly honors in swimming & diving. The awards are for meets from October 26 – November 1.
 
MEN  
Performer of the Week: Quinn MacPhail, Fordham
Rookie Performer of the Week: Michael Van Heerdan, Fordham
 
WOMEN
Performer of the Week: Jadin Brown, George Washington
Rookie Performer of the Week: Bea Turrettini, Davidson
 
Fordham had a great week in the pool on the men’s side, with Quinn MacPhail and Michael Van Heerdan landing Performer and Rookie Performer of the Week, respectively. For MacPhail, this is already his second Performer of the Week on the young season. MacPhail landed wins in the 500-yard freestyle (4:31.97) and the 1000-yard freestyle (9:11.98). His time in the latter ranks top 60 in the nation. Van Heerdan had an equal-victorious day for the Rams as well, coming up with wins in the 200-yard freestyle, with a time of 1:39.12, and the 200-yard backstroke, clocking a 1:48.73. The performances of both athletes led Fordham to a 157-138 win over NJIT.
 
George Washington landed another Performer of the Week, this time on the diving board. The Revs Jadin Brown got it done with a winning performance in the 3-meter dive. Her score of 268.20 ranks 36th nationally. She also earned a 244.05 in the 1-meter dive, which placed her second at the event and ranks in the top 100 nationally as well. Davidson’s Bea Turrettini delivered a huge performance for the Wildcats against a very game Catawba squad. In the 500-yard freestyle, Turrettini docked a 4:59.89, good for first at the meet and second in the conference in the event. She also clocked a 10:18.15 in the 1000-yard freestyle, also good for a meet victory and third in the conference.
