WASHINGTON — The Atlantic 10 Conference named St. Bonaventure graduate student Seth Hammond the Under Armour Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week while Saint Louis graduate student Quentin Blair earned Defensive Player of the Week honors. VCU freshman Luca Estabio was selected as the Rookie of the Week. The awards were announced on Monday for games played from Oct. 6 - Oct. 12.

Hammond, a midfielder from Winchester, Va., put together a performance to remember on Saturday afternoon against No. 24 George Mason, tallying six points as the Bonnies’ upset bid fell just short.  Hammond set a new program record with four assists – tying the most in a single game by any NCAA men’s soccer player this season – while also netting a late goal. The only player in the nation to record four assists and a goal in one game this year, Hammond is tied for first in the A-10 with seven goals on the season.

Blair anchored the Saint Louis back line to two spectacular showings last week, earning a pair of road shutout victories. The defender from Shawnee, Kan. helped hold George Washington to just four shots in a 2-0 Billiken victory on Wednesday, including one shot on goal. Saint Louis logged its third consecutive shutout on Saturday at VCU, preventing the Rams from recording a single shot on goal in the 2-0 triumph.

Estabio, a forward from Lincoln, Buenos Aires, Argentina, helped the Rams earn their second top-25 win of the season last week, defeating No. 24 George Mason 2-1 on the road. Trailing 1-0 in the second half, Estabio shaped a right-footed shot into the right side of the net to tie things up. The first collegiate goal of Estabio’s career, the strike earned the No. 9 slot in ESPN’s Sportscenter Top 10 Plays segment on Wednesday night.
