PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – Shelagh Donohoe, the head coach of the 2024 Atlantic 10 Rowing Champion Rhode Island, was voted A-10 Coach of the Year Saturday at Copper RIver Park following the Rams' 10th A-10 team title.
The conference announced the accolade, which was voted on by the league’s nine head coaches, as well as the First and Second Team All-Conference selections at the championship awards ceremony following the final races.
Donohoe directed GW to victories in the Varsity 8 and Second Varsity 8, two of the three scoring races to secure the team title and the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Championship at the Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J. It marked the ninth time in league history Donohoe has been honored by her peers.
