The fifth-year batted a team-high .700 (7-for-10) with three multi-hit games, two homers and eight RBIs as the Billikens took two of three from UMass in A-10 play.
Kemp worked two complete games over the weekend, picking up two wins in Dayton's 2-1 series win at George Mason. On Saturday, she tossed the complete-game shutout with eight strikeouts to one walk in the 3-0 win. The Westfield, Ind. native followed that with seven strikeouts over seven innings of work on the way to a 5-2 win over the Patriots.
Smith, who was last week's Pitcher of the Week, led GW to a 4-1 record in five games this week, accounting for all five decisions with a 4-1 record. The Atlanta, Ga. native pitched 19.2 innings, only allowing nine runs and striking out 22, a 22/6 strikeout-walk ratio. The freshman brought a no-hitter into seventh inning vs. UMES, ending the game with one hit, zero runs allowed and 10 strikeouts.
