Atlantic 10 Women’s Basketball Schedule Highlighted By 40 Linear Television Appearances

WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 Conference released the 2024-25 Women’s Basketball league schedule Wednesday, which features a total 135 games along with a league-record 40 national television and digital appearances. Additionally, through the Atlantic 10’s comprehensive media agreements and extensive streaming package via ESPN+, every home game for all 15 league members will be available to stream.
 
For the first time ever, seven games of the 2025 Atlantic 10 Women’s Basketball Championship will be nationally televised, with all four quarterfinal games airing on Peacock on Friday, March 7. The semifinals will once again air on CBS Sports Network on Saturday, March 8 with the championship game televised on ESPN Platforms on Sunday, March 9, marking the 28th straight year ESPN has televised the league’s title match. This year marks the second season the A-10 Championship will be at the Henrico Sports & Events Center, in Henrico, Va. The first two rounds of the Championship will stream on ESPN+.
 
The 2024-25 season will mark the seventh straight year every home game will be available to A-10 fans across the league’s three media partners: ESPN, CBS Sports, and NBC Sports, either on television or through streaming platforms. The schedule marks the first year of new five-year agreements with all three partners, announced last December.
 
Regular season conference competition tips off on Tuesday, Dec. 3 with a doubleheader featuring George Mason at George Washington as well as La Salle at Loyola Chicago. The remainder of the conference opens league play on Sunday, Dec. 29, highlighted by VCU at Saint Joseph’s. The league’s first televised game will be the following week as CBS Sports Network will air the first of its eight regular season games on Sunday, January 5. 

“As the interest in women’s basketball continues to surge nationally, we are excited to showcase our most televised games ever to a national audience,” Commissioner Bernadette V. McGlade stated. “We are coming off a very strong year for our conference in 2023-24 and cannot wait to watch all the high level basketball our schools have in store for this season.” 
 
In addition to the championship final, ESPN Platforms will present two regular-season contests. Richmond, last year’s regular season and postseason champions, will head to Davidson for the first ESPN game on Sunday, January 12. The second ESPN game will see a matchup of last season’s second and third place regular season teams, with George Mason traveling to Saint Joseph’s on Sunday, February 23.  All league games on ESPNU will also be available via the ESPN App accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and connected devices to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.
 
CBS Sports Network will televise 10 games, beginning with Davidson at Saint Louis on January 5. The following two Sunday’s will feature Atlantic 10 doubleheaders, with George Mason at Rhode Island and Saint Joseph’s at VCU going back-to-back on January 12 and Rhode Island at Duquesne and VCU at Richmond on January 19. The following three Sunday’s will have one game each: Saint Louis at Davidson on January 26, Davidson at VCU on February 2 and Richmond at Duquesne on February 9. Overall, CBS Sports Network will air eight regular-season contests and the two semifinal games of the Atlantic 10 Championship on Saturday, March 8. In addition to cable subscribers, CBS Sports Network is available via major OTT streaming services, and a live CBS Sports Network stream is available through CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports App by authenticating with select providers.
 
NBC Sports will carry three regular season games on Peacock and all four games of the Quarterfinal round for the first time ever, with all seven games exclusively on Peacock. VCU will visit Duquesne for the first ever Atlantic 10 women’s basketball game on Peacock on Thursday, January 30. The first of two meetings between last year’s top two regular season teams will be the second game on Peacock as Saint Joseph’s visits Richmond on Thursday, February 13. The regular season Peacock slate will conclude with George Mason at Davidson on Thursday, February 20. 
 
Six Atlantic 10 teams made the postseason in 2023-24, led by Richmond’s NCAA Tournament berth. The Spiders finished last season 29-6 and earned a No. 10 seed in the NCAA Tournament, falling to No. 7 Duke, 72-61. Richmond had one of their best seasons ever, going 16-2 in conference play and winning all three games of the Championship to win their first ever title. Saint Joseph’s, George Mason and VCU all made the inaugural WBIT, with the Hawks reaching the Quarterfinals. Saint Louis and Duquesne participated in the WNIT, with the Billikens winning the tournament to give the Atlantic 10 their first ever postseason champion. 
 
The Atlantic 10 institutions reside in states that comprise 39.9 million television households, 33 percent of the total national market. The A-10 is in seven of the top 30 media markets, including New York (1), Chicago (2), Philadelphia (4), Washington (9), Charlotte (22), St. Louis (23) and Pittsburgh (26). All 15 institutions are within or adjacent to the top 60 media markets.
