George Washington Voted to Reclaim A-10 Women's Swimming & Diving Title

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Atlantic 10 defending champion George Washington received unanimous votes to repeat as the the 2022-23 A-10 Women’s Swimming & Diving champions, per the league's release of the annual Preseason Poll on Thursday.

The A-10 Preseason Poll is voted on by the league's head coaches.
 
George Washington received 121 points along with all 11 first-place votes in the poll, outpacing Duquesne – the only other triple-digit point-winner – by a final 19 points. The Preseason Poll placement mirrored both team's positions in last year’s championship meet, with the Colonials finishing with 701.5 points and Duquesne registering 509.

Richmond slotted in at third with 97 points, followed by Fordham (87), Davidson (73), George Mason (72) and La Salle (54). Massachusetts, St. Bonaventure, Saint Louis, and Rhode Island wrapped up the poll, taking the eighth through eleventh spots, respectively.

The 2022-23 Atlantic 10 Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships will be held Feb. 15-18 at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
