NEWPORT NEWS, VA. – College athletics is in a new era related to student-athlete name, image and likeness (NIL), and the Atlantic 10 Conference has formed a multi-year strategic partnership with TeamAltemus and Anomaly to ensure that league-wide, the membership is prepared to provide educational support to A-10 student-athletes  as they navigate their potential to maximize their NIL opportunities.

TeamAltemus will provide NIL "Protective Education" through a series of conference-wide virtual and in-person one-hour sessions, while also providing individual institutional sessions for each member institution. These protective education sessions include TeamAltemus' due diligence and financial management instruction, in collaboration with Anomaly Sports Group, who specializes in decision-making, contracts and the legal considerations of NIL. This valuable educational service will also translate to student-athletes' lives after graduation, providing a strong foundation for wealth management in life outside of the student-athlete experience.

“This is a transformative time for college athletics and student-athletes, and each institution and each conference will be learning how NIL will impact athletic programs, championship events and student-athletes,” stated Atlantic 10 Commissioner Bernadette V. McGlade. “TeamAltemus has developed educational resources that we believe will be valuable for our student-athletes and member institutions in navigating this new NIL environment.”

TeamAltemus and Anomaly are a group of unbiased experts who will provide A-10 student-athletes with NIL resources to empower them with knowledge and tools to protect their NIL and any potential revenue generated through individual efforts, as well as placing a priority on student-athlete branding education. TeamAltemus uses a proprietary DDMC methodology to build knowledge and give the student-athletes tools and processes as a strong foundation to empower them for their NIL opportunities.

"The Atlantic 10 Conference lives the words of its mission statement and TeamAltemus is thrilled to partner with them to provide full protective education to all member institutions’ coaches, staff and student-athletes," said TeamAltemus CEO Courtney Altemus. "The conference has worked diligently to select a partner who can deliver uniform value while tailoring programming to the individual needs of the member institutions. TeamAltemus and Anomaly are committed to meeting each institution where they are in their NIL programming, ensuring the conference-wide excellence in protective education is achieved."
