Nolan, Wolfe, Elissalt Selected for Weekly A-10 Baseball Awards

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Davidson junior Parker Nolan as A-10 Baseball Player of the Week, while Dayton senior Hunter Wolfe earned Pitcher of the Week honors. La Salle freshman Frank Elissalt was chosen as the Rookie of the Week.  The awards, present by BioSteel, were announced Monday and are for game played March 15-21.
 
Nolan hit .429 with two home runs and seven RBI in a 4-0 week that included a win over No. 16 South Carolina and a weekend series sweep of Spring Hill College. Nolan Hit the walk-off grand slam in Sunday's 8-5 win over SHC. The outfielder from Wilmington, N.C., he had two hits against South Carolina, including an RBI-single. He recorded a .556 on-base percentage and slugged .857 for the week.
 
Wolfe, a southpaw, went 7.0 scoreless innings on the mound against Central Michigan, allowing just three hits and two walks while picking up 10 strikeouts. It was the second-straight start of at least 6.0 innings where the for the Clay City, Ind., native picked up double-digit strikeouts and allowed one or fewer runs.
 
Elissalt was spectacular on the hill in Saturday's game two victory at George Mason, improving his record to 2-0. The right-hander allowed just one run on four hits over 8.0 innings pitched to secure his second straight win. The rookie from Miami piled up 10 strikeouts and has had 10 or more in three of his four outings this season.
