KANSAS CITY, Mo. – United Soccer Coaches announced Tuesday that the Saint Louis University men's soccer coaching staff has been named NCAA Division I Southeast Region Staff of the Year.

Fourth-year head coach Kevin Kalish and his staff advance to the ballot for United Soccer Coaches National Staff of the Year consideration. They will be recognized at the College Coaches Awards Ceremony at the United Soccer Coaches Convention on Jan. 20, 2022.

Kalish, who owns a 41-16-11 record at SLU, is joined by assistant coaches Kris Bertsch and Kevin Stoll, volunteer assistant Skip Grossman and director of operations Constantin Heider.

At 16-0-4, Saint Louis is the only undefeated team in Division I men's soccer. After capturing Atlantic 10 Conference regular-season and tournament titles and receiving the No. 10 seed for the NCAA Championship, the Billikens defeated LIU and Duke to reach the national quarterfinals. SLU takes on No. 2 seed Washington Saturday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. Central in Seattle with a berth in the College Cup on the line.

The Billikens finished the regular season undefeated for the first time since 1971 and ascended to No. 8 in the United Soccer Coaches national rankings. Their 8-0-0 A-10 mark was the league's first perfect record since the 1993 Rutgers team went 7-0-0.
