NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced Monday the 2020-21 women’s basketball schedule pairings. The upcoming season, which is the 45
th anniversary of the founding of the A-10, will feature a 16-game league slate for the league’s 14 programs.
Each team will face every A-10 opponent once, and three teams twice. The 2021 Atlantic 10 Women’s Basketball Championship is scheduled be played March 5-7 at VCU’s Stuart C. Siegel Center in Richmond, Va., with the first round hosted on campus sites on March 2. The complete 2020-21 conference schedule with dates and times, as well as national television information, will be released at a later date.
Last season, top-seeded Dayton won with regular season with an impressive 15-1 league record, and edged second-seeded VCU in the 2020 A-10 Championship. The Flyers were bound for the postseason before the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancelation of the NCAA Tournament.
