NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Richmond senior Jaide Hinds-Clarke was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week while Saint Louis Freshman Rachel Kent earned Rookie of the Week Honors. The Awards are for games played February 17-23.

Hinds-Clarke had an outstanding week to help Richmond go 2-0 on the road, averaging 21.5 points per game and on 17-for-22 (.773) from the field. The forward from Westwood, N.J., only missed five shots on the week, including 5-for-6 from the three-point line (.833). Hinds-Clarke tied her career high with 21 points and seven rebounds in a win at George Mason. She backed up that performance with a new career-high 22 points at St. Bonaventure and grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds for her 14th career double-double. She also averaged 9.5 rebounds per game on the week.

Kent recorded her first career double-double in a win against Fordham and hit five 3-pointers at VCU for the Billikens last week. She averaged 16.0 points and 8.0 rebounds on the week, while shooting 64 percent (7-for-11) from deep. The Des Plaines, Ill., product began the week collecting 15 points and a career-best 14 rebounds for her first double-double. At VCU, she drained 5-of-6 3-pointers on her way to 17 points, along with three assists, two rebounds, one block and one steal.

Duquesne’s Libby Bazelak led the Dukes in scoring and rebounding on the week with 14.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per contest while posting her fifth double-double of the season (16 points/10 rebounds) and distributed six assists in a win over URI.… Duquesne freshman Amaya Hamilton averaged eight points in a pair of games for the Dukes while adding four assists and three blocks and only turning the ball over once in 49 minutes of play … Fordham’s Bre Cavanaugh helped the Rams to a 1-1 week with a pair of twenty point averaging 20.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steal over 40.0 minutes, shooting 30.8 percent (12-of-39) from the field but 14-of-16 (.875) from the free-throw line … George Mason’s Nicole Cardaño-Hillary averaged 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 steals over two games … George Washington’s Alexandra Maund averaged 19.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game on .533 shooting (16-of-30) and added six total assists to help the Colonials to a 1-1 week … George Washington Rookie Tori Hyduke averaged 9.0 points, 3.5 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steal per game in 47 minutes during two games on .714 shooting (5-of-7), including a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc .… La Salle’s Shalina Miller averaged 8.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 6.5 blocks on .667 (6-of-9) from the floor and 80.0 percent (4-of-5) from the stripe. … La Salle freshman Claire Jacobs averaged 15.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.0 steal per game on 38.7 percent (12-of-31) … Massachusetts’ Vashnie Perry had a game-high and career-high 23 points on 10-of-16 from the field (62.5 percent) against Davidson Saturday … Rhode Island’s Davida Dale averaged 21.0 points and 11.5 rebounds including a 27-point effort against Duquesne and a 15-point, 16-rebound double-double against La Salle, also adding 10 assists on the week … Saint Joseph’s Katie Jekot scored 19 points in the Hawks’ win over Davidson and 13 points in a loss to George Mason … Saint Joseph’s freshman Kaliah Henderson scored eight points and had zero turnovers in SJU's road win over Davidson before going off for a near double-double (nine points, 11 rebounds) against George Mason … Saint Louis’ Ciaja Harbison led the Billikens with 19.0 points, 5.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 3.0 rebounds per game, including a game-high 23 points, along with five assists, two steals and five rebounds against VCU.
