WASHINGTON — The Atlantic 10 Conference has announced its weekly honors in field hockey. The awards are for games played from August 28-30.

Offensive Player of the Week: Clara Larripa (Sr., Buenos Aires, Argentina), Richmond
Defensive Player of the Week: Amanda Cimillo (Sr., Pleasant Valley, N.Y.), Richmond
Rookie of the Week: Abril Peroni (Fr., Cordoba, Argentina), Richmond

Clara Larripa led the charge in Richmond’s season-opening, 12-0 win over Queens University on Friday. The senior scored three times and took eight shots in the game, with six of them on goal. The 2025 first-team all-conference selection followed that up with a team-high three shots in the Spiders’ 1-0 loss to No. 6 Duke on Sunday.

Amanda Cimillo wasn’t tested in Friday’s season opener against Queens—she played the first three quarters of the win without making a save—but she was kept plenty busy Sunday against the sixth-ranked Blue Devils. The senior recorded six saves and allowed Duke to score just one goal, keeping her team in the mix right up to the final horn.

Abril Peroni made her collegiate debut one to remember on Friday, scoring four times in a six-minute span to punctuate UR’s rout of Queens University. The first-year player chipped in a goal over the keeper on a corner play, cleaned up two rebounds in front of the keeper, and fired home a one-timer on a corner play for her quartet of tallies. Overall, Peroni had six shots in the game. She then started in Sunday’s 1-0 loss to No. 6 Duke.
