WASHINGTON – Commissioner Dan Leibovitz has announced the addition of Sierra Ballard to his staff as Director of Championship Administration and Executive Support for the Atlantic 10 Conference.
Ballard will be primarily responsible for coordinating regular season and championship operations for select A-10 sports. This includes scheduling and officiating oversight, as well as championship planning and execution. A former Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) president at Louisiana State University (LSU), Ballard will also help support the conference’s league-wide SAAC initiatives and provide executive support to Commissioner Leibovitz.
"I am thrilled to add Sierra to our team and proud to welcome her to the Atlantic 10," said Leibovitz. "As a highly decorated student-athlete on a national championship team at LSU, she demonstrated exceptional discipline, leadership, and attention to detail. Combined with the training and experience she gained in the SEC office, those qualities will enable Sierra to play a vital role as we aim to provide the highest standard of excellence for our student-athletes."
Ballard recently completed a nine-month internship with the Southeastern Conference (SEC), assisting with planning and operations for all conference championship events. During her time with the SEC, she created student-athlete engagement and professional development opportunities and oversaw volunteers during championship competitions.
Ballard enjoyed an All-America career with LSU’s renowned gymnastics program, helping lead the Tigers to their first NCAA national championship in 2024 and back-to-back SEC titles in 2024 and 2025. A five-time SEC Academic Honor Roll selection, Ballard received the program’s Dee Dee Fulmer Gilbert Coaches Award in 2024 and was named a WCGA Academic All-American in 2021.
Ballard also spent two years as president of LSU’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, overseeing planning and execution of group events including food drives and mental health awareness campaigns. She also served as a liaison between student-athletes, coaches, and administrators.
Ballard holds three degrees from LSU: a Bachelor of Science in Finance, a Master’s in Business Administration, and a Master’s in Sport Management.
