GW Athletics today announced a groundbreaking partnership with Vanda Pharmaceuticals that will make the leading global biopharmaceutical company the first-ever jersey patch partner in program history.

The landmark agreement is the largest corporate partnership in GW Athletics history and will see the Vanda logo featured on the home and road uniforms of all 20 Revolutionaries teams, delivering powerful visibility for the pharmaceutical leader across television and streaming channels, digital platforms and live events.

The partnership is the first of its kind in the Atlantic 10 Conference and among all non-football schools nationally, placing GW Athletics among the early adopters to capitalize on the NCAA's new jersey sponsorship opportunities and reinforcing the university's strategic and forward-thinking approach to the rapidly changing college athletics landscape. Facilitated by GW Athletics' multimedia rights holder Bullpen Strategies, revenues generated through the agreement will directly enhance the student-athlete experience through investments in competitive resources and support services.

"This partnership is a transformational moment for GW Athletics," said Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Michael Lipitz. "We are proud to further partner with an innovative organization that shares our commitment to excellence and student-athlete success. Vanda's additional investment in GW enhances our ability to recruit, retain, and support our exceptional student-athletes."

Led by GW alumni and headquartered on the university's campus, Vanda deepens its ties to the university after being the presenting sponsor of the 50th anniversary season of the Charles E. Smith Center last year, with its logo adorning the basketball court.

"We are proud to be the inaugural jersey patch partner of GW Athletics and the exclusive pharmaceutical partner of the athletic program," said Mihael H. Polymeropoulos M.D., Vanda's President, CEO, and Chairman of the board. "Although we are a global company with offices in Berlin and London, our headquarters are here in Foggy Bottom. We value our relationship with GW and the students, having several alumni joining Vanda after graduation. We look forward to an exciting year ahead and extending our wonderful partnership."

Additional details regarding sport-specific uniform implementation will be announced at a later date as NCAA and conference uniform parameters are finalized.
