WASHINGTON – Richmond’s Maya Beasley and Calle Barlow, along with Etta Huffman of Dayton and Brandy Johnston from Loyola, have been named the top Atlantic 10 Women’s Golf honorees. The league announced the superlative awards as well as the All-Conference Teams Friday.

Beasley, who was the medalist at the A-10 Championship, was named Golfer of the Year. Huffman was selected as the Rookie of the Year. Huffman and Richmond’s Addie Doroh shared Most Outstanding Rookie honors at the championship. Barlow and Johnson were named Co-Coach of the Year.

The awards were voted on by the league’s six head coaches and are based on combined performance during the regular season and at the championship.

Richmond had four honorees: Beasley and Doroh as well as Hannah Lydic and Katie Magner. Kylee Heidemann and Emma Sparlin joined Huffman as Dayton’s three selections. Teagan Connors and Grace Hui from Loyola Chicago and Duquesne’s Sasha Petrochko rounded out the 10-person team. Seven of the 10 honorees finished in the top 10 at the A-10 Championship.

Beasley won A-10 medalist honors shooting a 221 over 54 holes. Barlow led the Spiders to a second A-10 title in two years of the league sponsoring women’s golf. Under her guidance, Richmond placed all five golfers in the top five at the A-10 Championship and finished 28 strokes ahead after taking an 11-stroke lead on day one and expanding it in the subsequent rounds.
