ST. LOUIS – The fourth-seeded Fordham Rams used a three-run fifth inning to capture a 7-3 victory over the fifth-seeded Saint Joseph’s Hawks on Wednesday at the 2026 Betterment Atlantic 10 Softball Championship. The Rams will meet the top-seeded Loyola Chicago Ramblers on Thursday at 12 p.m. CT at the Billiken Sports Center.
Fordham took an early 3-0 lead, but Saint Joseph’s fought back in the third inning. Grace Brown hit a two-run home run, before Alivia Heers launched a solo shot one frame later to tie the game 3-3.
With runners on first and second base in the fifth inning, Fordham sophomore Victoria Klimaszewski sent a three-run home run over the outfield fence – pushing Fordham ahead 6-3. The Rams got an insurance score in the sixth on another homer from senior Eva Koratsis.
In addition to her go-ahead home run, Klimaszewski earned the victory on the mound – pitching 3.2 scoreless innings without giving up a single hit. The Rams outhit Saint Joseph’s 8-5, allowing all five of the Hawks’ hits in the first four innings.
The Hawks will face Dayton or George Washington at 5 p.m. on Wednesday in an elimination game.
