DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's basketball team travels to Wilmington, N.C. to take on UNCW in the second round of the National Invitational Tournament at Trask Coliseum on Saturday, March 21.

Dayton (24-11) had its game firing on all cylinders against Bradley in the opening round of the NIT, taking down the Braves by a convincing 80-66 final. UNCW (27-6) opened its NIT action with an exciting 68-67 road victory over Yale, with senior Christian May knocking down a three in the final minute to push the Seahawks to victory.
Senior Javon Bennett led the Flyers in scoring against Bradley, dropping 25 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the floor including 5-of-10 from beyond the three-point line. Dayton jumped out to a 17-point lead in the first half, its biggest halftime lead since the 2025-26 opener against Canisius.
UD shot 57.7% (15-of-26) from the floor in the opening half, including 63.6% (7-of-11) from downtown.
