WASHINGTON — The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Richmond Senior Maggie Doogan the Under Armour Women’s Basketball Players of the Week. Saint Louis freshman Alyssa Koerkenmeier was chosen to repeat as the league’s Rookie of the Week. The awards were announced on Monday for games played from Feb. 23-28 and are the final weekly awards of the season.

Doogan averaged 24.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game while shooting 56.5 percent from the field and 100 percent from the free throw line in two wins to close the regular season. She totaled 48 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists while going a perfect 17-for-17 at the stripe. The forward from Broomall, Pa., opened the week with 13 points, eight rebounds and six assists in a win over league-leading Rhode Island. She followed with 35 points at Saint Joseph’s on 9-of-16 shooting, including three 3-pointers, and tied for the fourth-most free throws made in a single game in program history after going 14-for-14 at the line. The performance marked her fourth 30-point game of the season and secured Richmond the No. 3 seed in the Atlantic 10 Championship.

Koerkenmeier had 22 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks at Davidson during the Billikens final regular season game. A center from St. Rode, Ill., she shot 8-17 (.471) from the field and was a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line. Her five blocks propelled her to break SLU's freshman single-season blocks record. This was Koerkenmeiers 11th double-double of the season, which ties for the league lead. Earlier in the week, she scored 12 points with seven rebounds and four assists against Duquesne.

Davidson’s Charlise Dunn averaged 19.5 points, highlighted by 22 on 7-of-12 (.583) shooting at Fordham  … Nayo Lear posted 12 points in both Dayton games last week, registering 12 and 11 rebounds with five assists at Loyola Chicago … George Mason’s Zahirah Walton exploded for 29 points on 8-of-16 (.500) shooting against Saint Jospeh’s, followed by a 16-point, 13-rebound double-double at Duquesne  … Patriots rookie Mary Amoateng had 16 points versus Saint Joseph’s, sinking .833 (5-of-6) from the field with two steals … La Salle’s Aryss Macktoon had a pair of double-doubles, recording 28 points, 10 rebounds and four assists at VCU and 11 point, 11 boards and three assists versus Loyola Chicago while adding four steals in each game  … Richmond freshman Rayne Wright missed just one shot on the week, posting a 5-of-6 (.833) shooting percentage while adding four assists and two steals for the week … St. Bonaventure’s Aaliyah Parker scored 23 points with seven rebounds and a perfect 9-for-9 at the line against Fordham, part of a week where she averaged 17.5 points per game.
