L’Etang, Reaves Share Player of the Week Honors; Argabright Named Rookie

WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Dayton sophomore Amael L’etang and Fordham graduate student Dejour Reaves the Under Armour Men's Basketball Co-Players of the Week. Richmond Aiden Argabright was chosen as the league’s Rookie of the Week. The awards were announced Monday and are for games played Feb. 16-22.
 
L’Etang played a critical role in the Flyers’ 2-0 week, averaging 19 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.5 blocks with no turnovers while shooting 77.8 percent from the floor and 71.4 percent from beyond the arc. In UD’s win at George Mason, L’Etang went 9-of-11 from the floor for a career-high 21 points while also pulling down six rebounds. The forward from Bastia, France, then tallied his fourth double-double of the season against Duquesne, scoring 17 points and finishing with 10 rebounds. L’Etang also had five assists and a pair of blocks against the Dukes.
 
Reaves averaged 22.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in two Fordham wins on the week. He shot .591 (13-of-22) from the field and .947 (18-of-19) from the charity stripe while adding four assists and four steals. The guard from Syracuse, N.Y. opened week with 24 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals in win over Loyola Chicago. He followed that with 21 points, shooting 6-for-10 from the field and 9-for-10 from the free throw line, four rebounds, two assists and two steals in win over Davidson.
 
Argabright, a guard from Richmond, Va., averaged 15 points while shooting 8-of-12 (.667) from the field and 12-for-16 (.750) at the line. He was Richmond's leading scorer at Davidson with 16 points, adding in two rebounds, an assist while missing just one free throw and sinking 5-of-7 (.714) from the field. He followed that with 14 points and two rebounds, two steals and two assists while shooting .600 (3-of-5) from the field in a win over St. Bonaventure.

Roberts Blums averaged 17.0 points in a split week, including an 18-point, 13-rebound double-double in a win over Richmond … Davidson freshman Ian Platteeuw shot .545 in limited minutes, tallying 14 points and four assists for the Wildcats … Rob Dockery led La Salle to a win over Rhode Island with 19 points, and 15 rebounds while sinking 13-of-15 (.813) at the line … La Salle freshman Ashton Walker has 18 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Rhode island, joining Dockery in the double-double category … Jonah Hinton exploded for 29 points via nine 3-pointers, adding two assists and two steals in Rhode Island’s win over Saint Louis … Rhody freshman Jalen Harper had eight points and six rebounds along with two assists in the win over the No. 18 Billikens … Richmond’s AJ Lopez averaged 17.5 points, including scoring 20 in a winning effort against St. Bonaventure … Derek Simpson was perfect at the line through two games (13-13) and scored 23 points for Saint Joseph’s with six rebounds and seven assists, sinking four triples in a win over the Bonnies … Saint Joseph’s freshman Austin Williford had 14 points, four rebounds and two steals at SBU … Robbie Avila had 17 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in a split week for Saint Louis, shooting 11-for-20 (.550) from the field.
