WASHINGTON – Atlantic 10 Commissioner Dan Leibovitz has announced the hiring of Jason Golden as Deputy Commissioner, Chief Revenue and Chief Marketing Offer. Golden comes to the A10 from Richard Childress Racing, where he was that organization’s chief revenue officer.

“We are thrilled to have Jason join our staff,” said Leibovitz, who joined the Atlantic 10 as commissioner in May. “The new college athletics model requires increased revenue generation and innovation from the Conference office to help our teams compete at a high level. The A10 brand presents tremendous opportunities for growth, and he will play a key role in realizing that potential. Jason combines deep knowledge of college athletics with commercial expertise gained at NASCAR, positioning him to significantly strengthen our external efforts.”

In his role with Richard Childress Racing (RCR), Golden led the sales, strategy, and revenue-generation efforts for the organization, focusing on growing revenue and managing numerous commercial initiatives. During Golden’s tenure at RCR, the company experienced tremendous growth in its corporate partner portfolio and greater variety in category representation.

Golden joined RCR in 2014 and has been instrumental in developing strategic partnerships with world-class brands. Notably, Golden and his team have helped introduce several new sponsorship categories to RCR and several were category firsts within motorsports.

Golden has nearly 25 years of experience in revenue generation, brand building, sponsorship sales, ideation, and strategy to lead the corporate partnership business (new and renewal). Prior to joining RCR, Golden held a number of sales leadership roles with IMG College/ISP Sports, focusing on multi-media rights and revenue generation for several college athletic departments. He also has prior experience in motorsports, having spent several years with Speedway Motorsports.

An Ohio native, Golden holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports Industry/Sports Sciences and a Masters in Sports Administration from Ohio University. He frequently volunteers his time and resources to his alma mater.

Golden and his wife, Jaime, have two sons: Brady and Bryce.
