WASHINGTON — The Atlantic 10 Conference named Loyola Chicago sophomore Luka Ivancic the Under Armour Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week while George Mason graduate student Jaume Salvado earned Defensive Player of the Week honors. Saint Bonaventure freshman Felix Schöne and Saint Louis freshman Theo Franca were selected as the Co-Rookies of the Week. The awards were announced on Monday for games played from Sep. 15-21.

Ivancic, a midfielder from Chicago, Ill., came through with the game-winner in the second half of Loyola’s 2-1 victory over Rhode Island on Saturday. Ivancic scored his second goal of the season off a pass from Beck Retternmaier in the 83rd minute, securing the Ramblers’ first A-10 win of the year.

Salvado, a goalkeeper from Barcelona, Spain, made a season-high eight saves in the Patriots’ 1-0 victory at UMBC on Saturday. Salvado recorded his first clean sheet of the season and eighth in a George Mason uniform, earning his second A-10 weekly award this season.

Schöne, a goalkeeper from Leipzig, Germany, helped the Bonnies to a conference draw on the road Saturday afternoon at Davidson, making four saves. His biggest save of the day came in the final 30 seconds of the game, preserving the shutout and a 0-0 draw.

Franca, a forward from Nova Lima, Brazil, scored the game-winning goal in the first half of the Billiken’s 1-0 victory at Duquesne on Saturday.
