WASHINGTON — The Atlantic 10 Conference selected Saint Joseph’s junior Emily Hanrahan as the Under Armour Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week while Loyola Chicago redshirt sophomore Allison Deardorff received Defensive Player of the Week honors. Richmond freshman Julia Lishia and and VCU freshman Isabelle Franklin were selected as Co-Rookies of the Week. The awards were announced on Tuesday for games played from Aug. 25-31.

Hanrahan, a forward from Elmira, N.Y., totaled five points on two goals and an assist during a 2-0 week for the Hawks, scoring the game-winner in both contests. Hanrahan’s goal in the 15th minute against Rider proved to be the difference in Saint Joseph’s 3-0 win on Thursday, adding an assist as well. She contributed a spectacular goal against Towson on Sunday, helping the Hawks earn a come-from-behind 3-2 victory.

Deardorff, a goalkeeper from Itasca, Ill., recorded two straight shutouts at home – including one against a nationally ranked opponent. Deardorff made five saves against No. 10 Iowa to earn the Ramblers a 0-0 draw on Thursday, before stopping one shot in a 1-0 triumph over Purdue on Sunday. Deardorff currently leads the A-10 with four shutouts this season, ranking second in goals against average (0.400) and saves (15).

Lishia, a midfielder from Valencia, Pa., delivered on both sides of the ball for Richmond. The freshman logged starter-level minutes and assisted the second-half equalizer in a 1-1 draw at Howard, her second assists of the season. Lishia also played 54 minutes in a 1-1 tie against Radford.

Franklin, a freshman from Fort Meade, Md., tallied her first collegiate point with an assist to help lift the Rams over previously undefeated Loyola Maryland on the road. The play marked the second assist of Franklin’s career and helped lift VCU to the first win of first-year head coach Lauryn Hutchinson’s career.
