Dayton's Smith, Massachusetts' McKayle Collect Final Under Armour #A10WBB Weekly Awards

WASHINGTON -- The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Dayton senior forward Arianna Smith as its Under Armour Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. Massachusetts freshman Yahmani McKayle was named the Under Armour Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season. The awards were announced Monday and are for final week of regular season games played on February 24 - March 1. 

Smith recorded her 12th and 13th double-doubles of the season while averaging 16.5 points and 14.0 rebounds in Dayton's two wins over Saint Joseph's and St. Bonaventure last week. The senior forward shot 63.2 percent from the field, 81.8 percent from the free throw line, and had 11 offensive rebounds in the two-game stretch. Smith also became the all-time leader in offensive rebounds in program history last week.
  McKayle tallied 18 points, 2 assists, and one steal in the Minutewomen win at George Washington, their only game of the week. This is the fourth Rookie of the Week honor this season for the Queens, N.Y. native, the most in the league. The guard shot 6-8 from the free throw line (75%) to help ice the game. HONOR ROLL

La Salle's Aryss Macktoon contributed 18 points, nine rebounds, and a career-high eight steals in La Salle's Senior Day win over VCU ... Massachusetts' Megan Olbrys posted 20 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and shot 53.3% from the field in the win at George Washington ... Richmond's 
Addie Budnik showcased her all-around game, averaging 13.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game while playing nearly 39 minutes per contest in a 2-0 week for Richmond, giving them their 16th-straight win ... St. Bonaventure's Dani Haskell averaged 15.0 points and 35.3 minutes per game over two contests last week for the Bonnies ... Bonnies rookie Zoe Shaw averaged 12.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists over two games last week for the Bonnies ... Saint Louis' Tierra Simon had two double-doubles this week to average 12.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game against Rhode Island and Loyola Chicago ... Billikens rookie Shun'teria Anumele averaged 10.0 points and 1.5 rebounds from 13.5 minutes per game, shooting .429 from the field, 3-3 from beyond the arc, and .714 from the charity stripe.
