WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Saint Louis junior Quentin Jones the Under Armour Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Richmond freshman Aiden Argabright was chosen as the league’s Rookie of the Week. The awards were announced Monday and are for games played Dec. 1-7.
 
Jones led the Billikens to a 2-0 week last week with wins at Loyola Marymount and at home against Central Michigan. A guard from Chicago averaged a team-best 17.5 points and 4.0 assists per game, and shot 60 percent from the field. Jones went for 16 points and a season-high seven assists and then added three steals in the win at LMU. Against Central Michigan, he posted a team-high and season-high 19 points, which included a 4-of-6 effort from 3-point range and a 6-for-8 (.750) shooting percentage from the field.
 
Argabright was Richmond's leading scorer during a 2-0 week that propels the Spiders to an 8-1 start on the season. The guard from Richmond, Va., averaged 13.5 points per game, including 15 points, four assists and one turnover versus in-state rival Old Dominion. Early in the week, Argabright had 12 points with a steal and two rebounds in a key road victory at Belmont. It’s the second time this season Argabright has been named A-10 Rookie of the Week.

Robert Blums averaged 13.5 points for Davidson, including a 16-point performance with two assists ion a win over The Citadel … Davidson freshman Nick Coval also had 16 points and two assists versus The Citadel, shooting 3-of-4 (.750) from beyond the arc … De’Shayne Montgomery averaged 19.5 points per game, including a career-high 27 with seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in Dayton’s win over ETSU … George Mason’s Kory Mincy had back-to-back 16 point games, and averaged six assists per game in a 1-1 week for the Patriots … GM freshman Emmanuel Kanga averaged 7.5 rebounds last week, and had 10 points on 4-of-5 (.800) shooting in a win over Cornell … Rafael Castro shot lights out, making 12-of-15 (.800) to score 16 and 18 points in two George Washington wins, while averaging 6.5 rebounds per game… La Salle’s Josiah Harris had a 21-point, 13-rebound double-double in the Explores win over Drexel in the Big 5 Classic … Justin Moore turned in consecutive 21-point performances  while averaging 5.0 assists per game to help Loyola Chicago get back on the winning side with back-to-back victories … Had a career-high 25 points while making 7-of-10 from 3-point range … Rhode Island’s Jahmere Tripp averaged 14.5 points, in a split week for the Rams, with a 17-point five-rebound, two steal outing in a win over Brown, where he shot a combined 85.7 percent from the field and the line … Justice Ajogbor had 10 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks, two steals while not missing a single shot in Saint Joseph’s victory over Temple in the Big 5 Classic … Saint Louis freshman Jax Kerr scored nine points on 4-of-4 shooting in the win over Central Michigan … Terrence Hill, Jr. led VCU with 22 points, four rebounds and three assists in a victory over Samford … VCU freshman Jordan Tillery had 10 points on 4-of-9 (.444) shooting with three assists in the Samford win.
