CHICAGO – Loyola Chicago will take on No. 7 Louisville in the NCAA Tournament First Round. The Ramblers and Cardinals will play on Friday in Louisville at 6:30 pm ET / 5:30 pm CT.
Friday's winner will advance to the second round to play the winner of Western Kentucky vs. Marquette.
 
The Ramblers earned the Atlantic 10 automatic bid after winning a five-set thriller against VCU for their second straight A-10 title and third in four seasons. Three Ramblers recorded 15 or more kills in the win, including 20 kills by Kaitlyn Burke. Burke also posted her second consecutive double-double with 11 digs.
 
Loyola enters the tournament on a six-match win streak. The Ramblers and Cardinals have met three times in program history with the all-time series falling 3-0 in favor of Louisville. The last win came in 2000.
