WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Dayton junior De’Shayne Montgomery and Rhode Island redshirt junior Jonah Hinton as the Under Armour Men's Basketball Co-Players of the Week. Richmond freshman Aiden Argabright was chosen as the league’s Rookie of the Week. The awards were announced Monday and are for games played Nov. 17-23.
 
Montgomery continued his strong start to the season by helping Dayton go 2-0 on the week, averaging 17.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. The Broward County, Fla. guard shot .714 from the floor, including .571 from beyond the arc. Montgomery scored 18 points in UD's road win over Marquette, then returned home to lead all scorers with 17 in a win over NC Central.
 
Hinton scored a career-high 24 points to lead Rhode Island to a come-from-behind road win over Yale in the team's lone game of the week. A guard from Chicago, he made five 3-pointers and was 7-for-8 to lead the Rams back from a 10-point second-half deficit. With URI trailing by one point with 11 minutes to go, Hinton made a 3-pointer and a second-chance jumper to key a 12-5 run that gave URI the lead for good.  He also had three assists in the win.
 
Argabright totaled 26 points in a pair of Spider wins, scoring 11 versus VMI and 15 against Garnder-Webb. He shot 12-for-15 (.800) from the line and he led Richmond in assists both games with five versus VMI and four against the Runnin’ Bulldogs. He’s the first Spider freshman to score 10+ points in the first 5 games of a season since Kendall Anthony in 2011.

Josh Scovens averaged 10.5 points, and 4.0 steals across two games, including 12 points against Boston College in win … Davidson freshman Devin Brown scored nine points, on 3-of-6 (.500) field goals, two steals in the ‘Cats win versus Boston College … Dayton freshman Malcolm Thomas came up big for the Flyers in their 2-0 week, scoring eight crucial points in UD's road win at Marquette, then turning around to set a new career-high 12 points against NC Central … Masai Troutman posted a game-high 20 points to go with five rebounds and an assist to lead the Patriots over Jacksonville ... George Mason freshman Emmanuel Kanga Kanga tallied a career-best nine points, with five rebounds, an assist and a steal in the Jacksonville win …  Garrett Johnson averaged 21.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting an impressive 68 percent from the field, and 62 percent from 3-point range … URI’s Alex Crawford had 14 points, five rebounds and two steals in a win at Yale … Richmond’s A.J. Lopez scored 30 points in 35 minutes in a pair of wins, shooting 9-of-14 from the field and 6-for-9 from 3-point range … Frank Mitchell posted 19 points and 16 rebounds in St. Bonaventure’s win over Robert Morris for his third of the season. Derek Simpson averaged 18.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in a pair of games this week for Saint Joseph’s… SJU freshman Austin Willford set career highs with seven boards and five assists against Penn and matched the assist total on Thursday at UNLV … Dion Brown led Saint Louis with 21 points in a victory over Purdue Fort Wayne, including hitting an eye-popping 8-of-9 from the field.
