WASHINGTON — The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Richmond senior Maggie Doogan and Fordham junior Alexis Black as the Under Armour Women’s Basketball Co-Players of the Week. Rhode Island freshman Vanessa Harris was chosen as the league’s Rookie of the Week. The awards were announced on Monday for games played from Nov. 17-23.

Doogan earned her third consecutive A-10 weekly honor, leading Richmond to two more impressive victories last week. The forward from Broomall, Pa. averaged 24.0 points, 14.0 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game across both contests, shooting 45.0 percent from the field and 42.1 percent behind the arc. Doogan nearly put together a triple double during the Spiders’ 72-57 win over Temple on Tuesday, recording 31 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists, knocking down six 3-pointers. She followed that performance with a 17-point, 14-rebound showing in a 69-56 home win against Navy on Sunday afternoon.   Doogan currently leads the A-10 with 24.4 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game this season.

Across a pair of games for the Maroon and White, Black averaged 31.0 points, 5.5 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game while shooting 50.0 percent from the field, 47.6 percent from behind the arc, and 93.3 percent at the free throw line. The guard from Washington, D.C. exploded for 42 points in a double overtime loss at Seton Hall, the third-most points scored in a game by any Division I player this season and the most-ever by a Fordham women’s basketball player. Black led the Rams to a bounce-back victory over Manhattan, 65-62, on Sunday by recording 20 points, seven assists, and four rebounds. Black’s 159 points scored this season are the second most of any player in Division I, and she also leads the nation in free throws made (47).

Harris played a pivotal role for the Rams last week, helping the Rams secure a pair of victories including one against a nationally ranked opponent. The guard from Glenarden, Md. averaged 17.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game, shooting 52.0 percent from the field and 62.5 percent from beyond the arc. Harris led Rhode Island with 19 points in the team’s 73-59 win over Holy Cross on Wednesday, pouring in 15 points in a 68-63 victory over No. 16 NC State on Sunday afternoon. The latter result marked Rhode Island’s first win against a Top 25 opponent since 2023 and improved the Rams to 6-1 this season.
