RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond women's basketball guard Rachel Ullstrom has been tabbed U.S. Basketball Writers Association National Player of the Week, announced on Tuesday. Ullstrom earns the first national honor of her career and the Spiders' first since Nov. 28, 2023, when Maggie Doogan picked up the nod.

Ullstrom is coming off a stellar week in Atlantic 10 Conference action, leading Richmond to two dominant wins over St. Bonaventure and VCU. She boasts the eighth-best three-point percentage in the nation at a 46.7% clip and finished the game against St. Bonaventure with 30 points, marking her third game of the year with 30 or more points. She ended the game with three rebounds, a block and a steal. Against VCU, she again finished in double figures with 14 points and added two assists. Through the week, she saw no turnovers for an assist/turnover ratio of 2.0.
