WASHINGTON – Loyola Chicago, which has won back-to-back Atlantic-10 Women’s Cross Country championships, is predicted to win a third consecutive title according to the A-10 Preseason Poll, which was released Wednesday morning.
Conference coaches voted on the A-10 Preseason Poll.
Loyola Chicago was a near unanimous choice for a projected first place finish. The Ramblers received 14 first place votes with a total of 224 points. Richmond (194) received the other first place vote and the No. 2 spot in the preseason poll. George Washington (193) and Dayton (164) earned the No. 3 and No. 4 spots, respectively.
Massachusetts (153), Duquesne (143), and La Salle (135) were predicted in the fifth, sixth, and seventh spots. George Mason (128), Saint Louis (119), and Davidson (118) round out the top 10 of the preseason poll in eighth, ninth, and tenth, respectively.
Fordham (70), Rhode Island (61), Saint Joseph’s (47), VCU (33), and St. Bonaventure (18) finish the preseason poll.
The 2024 Women’s Cross Country season started on Aug. 30
th and will conclude at the 2024 Atlantic 10 Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships on Saturday Nov. 2
nd at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Va hosted by Richmond.
