ATHENS, Greece - Head Coach Bridgette Mitchell's Rams earned a second victory over Athens Select on Friday night with a score of 91 to 34, respectively.

The Rams started hot in game two against Athens Select tonight with a turnaround from game one earlier this week, on Tuesday, against Thessaloniki Select. The difference in starts resulted in a 91-point game versus the 71- points earned earlier.

HOW IT STARTED

The Rams came out strong with Emma Wilson-Saltos winning the no-contest jump ball and quickly tipping it to  A-10 All-Conference teammate, Taylor Donaldson, who swooped in for an easy lay-up. From there the Rams came away with 24 points, all from the field, to Athens Select 10 points. Notable, freshman Camila De Pool played lights out defense forcing a 10-second call before half court and stealing the ball from her opponent to swoop in for a clear three pointer. Her teammates, Zaria Shazer and Taya Davis, backed her up on the boards and setting up offense.

By halftime the Rams were up 48 to 19 points. Graduate transfer Zaria Shazer made shots from the blocks while second efforts were put in by Wilson-Saltos. The third quarter saw three freshmen running the court at the same time with De Pool, Karissa Antoine and Anastasija Veljovic playing pivotal positions for Coach Mitchells' team. The smoothness of passes to converted points was made aware by the fourth quarter where the Rams took the most dominating lead of reaching 90 points before Athens Select hit 30. Amiyah Ferguson ran the offense on the second half that saw the largest point margins. The depth coming off the bench kept the energy alive on the court with every player seeing multiple minutes on the court.
