WASHINGTON – Richmond and Loyola Chicago both finished at 15-3 and shared the Atlantic 10 men’s basketball regular season title. Richmond will be the No. 1 seed for next week’s A-10 Men’s Basketball Championship at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. The 15-team tournament begins Tuesday with the championship final set for Sunday, March 17.

ESPN+ will broadcast Tuesday’s three first-round games while USA Network will carry the entire second round Wednesday and all four quarterfinal matchups Thursday. CBS Sports Network will air the semifinals Saturday at 1:00 and 3:30 pm. The championship final is set for 1:00 pm on CBS Sports as part of their annual Selection Sunday coverage.

The Spiders receive the top seed by virtue of a head-to-head win over No. 2 Loyola Chicago. Both UR and the Ramblers earned double byes into the quarterfinals. Third-seeded Dayton (14-4) and No. 4 Massachusetts (11-7) also receive the double byes. Richmond plays at 11:30 am on Thursday, followed by Massachusetts at 2:00 pm. Loyola Chicago opens the evening session at 5:00 pm and Dayton will play in the last quarterfinal at 7:30 pm. Massachusetts earned the No. 4 spot with a head-to-head win over VCU (11-7) earlier this season.

Seeds five through nine earn byes into the second round and will play Wednesday on USA Network. VCU is seeded fifth and will play the winner of No. 12 Fordham (6-12) and No. 13 Davidson (5-13) at 2:00 pm Wednesday. Fordham and the Wildcats will meet Tuesday in the first round at 11:30 am on ESPN+. A head-to-head tiebreaker between Davidson and Saint Louis (5-13) gave the Wildcats the 13 seed.

No. 6 Duquesne (10-8) will open play Wednesday at 7:30 pm against the winner of the late first-round game between No. 11 Rhode Island (6-12) and No. 14 Saint Louis (5-13). The game between Rhody and the Billikens will tip off at 4:30 pm on Tuesday on ESPN+.

Seventh-seeded St. Bonaventure (9-9) will play the winner between 10th-seeded La Salle (6-12) and No. 15 George Washington (4-14) at 5:00 pm on Wednesday in the second round. The game between the Explorers and the Revolutionaries will tip off Tuesday at 2:00 pm on ESPN+. La Salle, Rhode Island and Fordham all tied for 10th at 6-12, with the seeds determined by the multi-team head-to-head tiebreaking procedure.

No. 8 George Mason (9-9) faces No. 9 Saint Joseph’s (9-9) at 11:30 am on Wednesday for the right to play Richmond in the quarterfinals. The Hawks, Bonnies and George Mason all tied for seventh, and seeds were determined by the league’s three-team tiebreaker procedure, based on combined results against Richmond and Loyola Chicago.
