WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Saint Louis junior Sincere Parker its Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Saint Joseph’s freshman Xzayvier Brown was chosen as the league’s Rookie of the Week. The awards were announced Monday and are for games played Feb. 5-11.
 
Parker led the NCAA in total points last week with 67, averaging 33.5 points per game over two road games at La Salle and at Saint Joseph's. He combined to shoot 22-of-33 (.667) from the field, 8-12 (.667) from 3-point rage, and was a perfect 15-15 from the stripe. The guard from Rockford, Ill., exceeded his career scoring high in each game with 33 points at La Salle and 34 points at Saint Joseph's. He also added a career-high-tying nine rebounds against the Hawks to finish one rebound shy of a double-double. Parker averaged 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists in the two games. His high scoring came despite averaging only 22.9 minutes per game, including just 18 in the 33-point effort against the Explorers.
 
Brown averaged 21.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists, helping the Hawks to a 1-1 week. Against No. 18/17 Dayton on Tuesday, Brown finished with 15 points, four rebounds and two assists. A guard from Philadelphia, he followed on Saturday with a career-best 27 points, including the game-winning free throws in the final seconds against Saint Louis, while adding seven assists, five rebounds, two steals and zero turnovers. He was 11-of-14 (.786) from the line versus the Billikens.

Nate Santos averaged 20 points and 5.5 rebounds with a block and three steals, while shooting .625 (15-of-24) in a split week for Dayton … Keyshawn Hall averaged 22.5 points in a 1-1 week for George Mason, topping 20 points in both games while shooting .714 (5-for-7) with eight rebounds and three assists versus Loyola Chicago … George Washington freshman Darren Buchanan Jr., scored 23 points  on 9-of-13 (.692) shooting with six rebounds and three assists versus Rhode Island, part of a 17 point, 5.5 rebounds average week … Khalil Brantley had a big week for La Salle, with an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double against Saint Louis, followed by 22 points at Richmond with five total steals on the week … Loyola Chicago’s Sheldon Edwards averaged 22.5 points in a pair of road wins last week, including a 27-point effort at Mason that included 6-for-10 (.600) from 3-point range with three assists and five steals … Rhode Island’s Jaden House was consistent in two road games, tallying 23 points on 10-of-18 (.556) shooting at GW, followed by 22 points with a 4-of-6 (.667) performance from 3-point range at UMass … Saint Joseph’s Cameron Brown set the SJU record for games played, appearing in his 136^th contest where he averaged 21 points and 4.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week, shooting .600 (15-of-25) from the field and .556 (10-for-18) from distance … Charles Pride scored 41 total points last week in two games for St. Bonaventure, shooting 15-of-24 (.625) from the field and hitting 11-of-14 (.786) at the line while grabbing 11 rebounds and two steals.
