MERION STATION, Pa. – A trip to Ann Arbor, Michigan, will be on the line on Sunday as the third-ranked Saint Joseph's field hockey team hosts #13 Princeton in the Second Round of the 2024 NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship at Ellen Ryan Field.  The winner will head to the national semifinals.

The Hawks reached the quarterfinals via their 1-0 win over #20 Lafayette on Friday afternoon.  Alison Buffington scored her ninth goal of the season with just over 10 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter to provide all the scoring, while the SJU defense held Lafayette to one shot.

Princeton knocked off #7 Boston College, 1-0, on Friday courtesy of a first quarter Beth Yeager tally.

Sunday's game will be the first regular season or postseason game between Saint Joseph's and Princeton.
