WASHINGTON – The Atlantic 10 Conference has named St. Bonaventure senior Chance Moore its Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Rhode Island freshman Tyonne Farrell was chosen as the league’s Rookie of the Week. The awards, which are the first of the season, were announced Monday and are for games played Nov. 4-10.
 
Moore averaged 22.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 1.5 blocks while shooting 57.7 percent from the floor in two Bonnies wins top open the season. He scored 27 points, with six rebounds, three blocks and two steals and went 9-13 (.692) from the floor in a win at rival Canisius Saturday. The performance followed an 18-point, nine rebound, three assists, and two steal outing in a season-opening victory versus CSUN Monday.
 
Farrell averaged 8.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in a pair of URI wins in the opening week. A forward from Baltimore, Farrell had 14 points and a team-high seven rebounds in his collegiate debut against Fairfield. He shot .600 from the field (6-for-10) and was 3-for-3 at the free throw line while making his only 3-point attempt on the week.

Connor Kochera averaged 21 points and 5.5 rebounds with five total assists, while shooting .682 (15-of-22) in a pair of season opening wins for Davidson … Roberts Blums scored 11 points, including burying three 3-pointers in Davidson’s victory over Bowling Green … Dayton’s Enoch Cheeks averaged 14.5 points, including a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double in a win over Saint Francis, and he was 7-of-10 (.700) from the field for 16 points in the Flyers’ win over Northwestern … Dayton freshman Amael L’Etang scored 10 points in his first week, including a 3-for-5 (.600) performance from the field in the opening game against Saint Francis … Jackie Johnson III averaged 20.5 points, but his highlight of week was a buzzer-beating floater that gave Fordham a 57-56 win at Seton Hall Saturday … Darius Maddox averaged 18.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and shot 50 percent from deep (5-10) in two games for George Mason, scoring a team-high 20 points at No. 18/17 Marquette … Darren Buchanan, Jr. registered a points-rebounds double-double in each game for George Washington, becoming one of just 18 players nationally with multiple double-doubles in the season's first week (19/10 vs. Mercyhurst, 10/11 vs. Hampton) … GW freshman Christian Jones’ breakout game came on Friday versus Hampton when he scored 11 points (4-of-9 from the field) with four assists and four steals in 17 minutes off the bench. … Jahlil White leads the team in points (15.5 per game) and rebounds (9.5 per game) while hitting 73.3 percent from the field … Loyola Chicago’s Jayden Dawson helped Loyola Chicago open at 3-0, averaging 16.3 ppg on 44.4 percent from the field and .391 percent from 3-point range … Rahsool Diggins led the way for Massachusetts in a win over New Hampshire, scoring a career-high 26 points, while shooting 8-of-16 from 3-point range, tying Luwane Pipkins and Carl Pierre for the single-game program record for threes made … Rhode Island’s Sebastian Thomas averaged 14.0 points, 8.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals in two games, both wins for Rhode Island, including an eye-popping 16-1 assist-to-turnover ratio … Saint Joseph’s Xzayvier Brown averaged 19.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.5 steals per game and he opened the season with a 22-point effort against Navy … Gibson Jimerson led the Billikens with 22.0 points per game in two games, shooting 51.7 percent from the field, 47.4 percent from 3-point range and 83.3 percent from the stripe and he paced SLU with 28 points in the win against Avila … Saint Louis freshman Amari McCottry started in the win against Avila, stuffing the stat sheet with six assists, five rebounds, four steals and five points … Joe Bamisile scored 18 points in each of VCU's two season-opening wins, and had, nine rebounds, three assists, a block and a steal in a convincing 80-55 win over Boston College.
