Saint Joseph's Moves Up to 10th in NFHCA Division I Coaches Poll

The Saint Joseph's field hockey team moved up a spot in the first Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I Coaches Poll of the regular season, it was announced on Tuesday.  The Hawks have started the season 3-1, including a win over then-#15 UConn to kick off the campaign.

Virginia held steady at #6 after earning a 2-1 victory at Ellen Ryan Field on Friday.  Future Hawk opponent North Carolina fell one spot to number two, while Michigan slipped four spots to eighth in advance of the Hawks' visit this coming weekend.

Other SJU opponents in this week's poll include Harvard, down one spot to 14th; Delaware which enters the poll at number 19; and UMass, which is ranked for the first time this year at number 20.

The Hawks will visit Michigan State on Friday night before taking on the Wolverines on Sunday.
