ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis women's soccer has received a second preseason national ranking as College Soccer News placed the Billikens at No. 13 in its 2023 NCAA Division I Preseason Top 30.
 
A year ago, SLU finished with the No. 11 CSN ranking after reaching No. 4 – the highest ranking in any poll in program history – during the season.
 
Defending national champion UCLA and 2022 national runner-up North Carolina are ranked No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. Florida State, Alabama, Virginia, Notre Dame, Duke, Arkansas, Stanford and BYU – the Billikens' opening-game opponent – comprise the remainder of the top 10.
 
Two other Billiken opponents are included in the CSN preseason poll. Xavier and Brown are No. 25 and No. 26, respectively.
 
Earlier this month, SLU landed at No. 21 in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll.
 
After opening the season at BYU Thursday, Aug. 17, the Billikens stay in Utah to face Utah State Sunday, Aug. 20. The home opener at Hermann Stadium is Thursday, Aug. 24, vs. Creighton.
