NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Fordham senior Taylor Donaldson its Women's Basketball Player of the Week. VCU freshman Zoli Khalil was chosen as the league’s Rookie of the Week. The awards were announced Monday and are for games played Nov. 27 - Dec. 3.
 
In a pair of games last week Fordham senior Taylor Donaldson averaged 28.0 points per game while shooting an even 50 percent both from the field and beyond the arc. The guard from Newbury Park, Calif., also averaged six rebounds and 3.5 steals per game, as she began the week with a career-high 35 point showing as the Rams defeated Saint Peter's 80-46. Shooting 12-for-19 (.632) in the game with seven three pointers, she also pulled down nine boards in that game.
 
Khalil scored 11 points in VCU's 57-49 win over Charlotte on Saturday in her second career start. The win helped VCU to a 7-1 record and its best start since 2013-14. The guard from Rockingham, Va., was 3-of-5 (.600) from the floor and also grabbed two rebounds.

Davidson’s Millie Prior averaged a double-double with 15.5 points and 16.0 rebounds in two wins, with a 17-point, 19-rebounds performance versus Longwood … Dayton freshman Riley Rismiller grabbed eight rebounds and swished two 3-pointers in the Flyers’ loss to Purdue … Makala Miller scored 23 points on 10-of-18 (.555) shooting from the field in La Salle’s against Penn, and followed with 15 points versus Virginia … Loyola Chicago’s  Alyssa Fisher averaged 17.5 points and 4.0 steals for the Ramblers in back-to-back wins last week  … Dee Dee Davis scored 21 points, including 4-of-6 (.667) from beyond the arc to lead Rhode Island to a win over No. 25 Princeton Sunday … Maggie Doogan had back-to-back 18-point performances for Richmond while also totaling 13 rebounds across the 1-1 week… St. Bonaventure’s Isabellah Mddleton had a near double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds with a pair of assists against Canisius.
