NEWPORT NEWS, Va. –  The Atlantic 10 Conference released the league's winners of the Field Hockey weekly awards for matches played Oct. 3-9, tabbing La Salle’s Tatum Johnson for Offensive Player of the Week while Saint Joseph’s Freke van Tilburg earned Defensive Player of the Week. Additionally, Lock Haven’s Brynlee Pichschenat and Saint Joseph’s Maaike Goriseen were named Co-Rookies of the Week.
 
Johnson, the forward from Downigtown, Pa., scored the game-winning goal in La Salle’s victory over Richmond. She also tied the game for the Explorers and shifted momentum with back-to-back goals in the 5-3 victory over Longwood.
 
van Tilburg, a back out of Breda, The Netherlands, led a Hawks shutdown defense that held the 18th-ranked Minutewomen to a single shot, including zero on gaol. The SJU victory handed the Minutewomen their first loss in conference play as Saint Joseph's remained undefeated in the conference.
 
Gorissen, a midfielder from Bennekom, The Netherlands, posted a three-point day outing against Quinnipiac. Gorissen tallied an assist and her first-career goal as the Hawks won, 4-1, over the Bobcats.
 
Pinschenat, a forward out of Columbus, Ohio, registered both her first career goal and assist in helping guide the Bald Eagles to a 5-0 win over Saint Louis.
